From high-pitched, adorable characters to unhinged villains, commanding soldiers, quirky creatures, and everything in between — I love discovering just how many lives a voice can have.
Based in Tokyo, I bring a lifelong passion for anime, games, music, and theatre to every performance. My versatile character work is matched by a rich, powerful singing voice with a wide range, making me equally at home behind a character, a microphone, or a song.
If you have a story to tell, a character to bring to life, or a voice
that needs to be heard — let’s create something unforgettable.

Hi, I’m Samantha “Luna” Jeka — a Tokyo-based voice actor, narrator, singer, and performer. My love of Japanese media and performance began when I was very young. I grew up in Illinois before moving to Orlando, Florida, at the age of nine. One of my earliest introductions to Japanese culture came when my dad rented My Neighbor Totoro for me and my siblings. Alongside anime such as Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball, it sparked a fascination that would continue to grow throughout my life.
At the same time, my grandmother was introducing me to the world of musical theatre, from The Phantom of the Opera to Into the Woods. As I got older, I became an avid gamer, immersing myself in Japanese games that captivated me with their stories, characters, music, and worlds. Series such as Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, The Legend of Zelda, and Persona became particular favorites, alongside survival-horror titles such as Silent Hill, Biohazard, and Fatal Frame. Living in Florida also gave me plenty of opportunities to attend anime conventions and explore stores specializing in Japanese media, allowing my knowledge and love of Japanese subcultures to grow quickly and enthusiastically.
Performance became an equally important part of my life. I began seriously training my voice at the age of twelve and continued developing my skills through vocal training and theatre. I went on to study Performing Arts at the University of Tampa, where I became a more accomplished performer and truly began to hone my own vocal style.
In 2004, I made my first trip to Japan with my grandmother and younger sister. I fell completely in love with the country and made it my goal to one day live in Tokyo. That dream became a reality when I moved to Japan at the end of 2009 — and I absolutely adore it.
Today, I have the incredible privilege of using the talents I’ve spent my life developing to participate in the worlds and genres that inspired me in the first place. Being able to contribute my voice to anime, games, music, and other creative projects is something I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to do when I was growing up.
One of my greatest strengths as a voice actor is versatility. My natural speaking voice is fairly balanced, which gives me a flexible foundation for creating a wide variety of characters. I’m particularly often cast as high-pitched, cute, and energetic characters, but I love pushing my voice in all sorts of directions.
My character work ranges from ambiguous-sounding children and quirky, adorable animals to crazed villains, strong soldiertype women, and everything in between. I love experimenting
with the subtle changes in pitch, tone, rhythm, and personality that can transform a voice into an entirely different character. As a singer, my voice takes on a different character: rich, powerful, and expressive, with a wide range and a particularly strong belt. Years of vocal training and a substantial lung capacity allow me to sustain powerful vocals with strength and control. I am technically a mezzo-soprano, though my range extends somewhat higher, giving me additional flexibility when a role or song calls for it. I particularly excel in power ballads, rock, gospel, and musical theatre, but I’m always excited to explore new styles and discover what a song or project brings out of my voice.
My voice has also been selected for use in a well-respected vocal instrument software program widely used throughout Japan. Due to an NDA, I can’t share the name, but it has been an especially fascinating experience to hear musicians, producers, composers, and engineers transform my voice into something entirely new. I’m always thrilled to discover the creative possibilities that other artists can find within it. Outside of professional work, I’m an avid Dungeons & Dragons player, often playing multiple sessions a week with friends. For me, it’s another opportunity to experiment with voices, personalities, characters, and emotions in a completely immersive and creative environment. I love discovering new characters and seeing where a voice can take a story.
Ultimately, there are few things that bring me more joy than using my voice to express characters, personalities, emotions, and meaningful messages in unique and creative ways. I’ve spent much of my life loving the worlds of anime, games, music, and theatre. Being able to contribute my own voice to those worlds today is something I never take for granted. Whether I’m bringing a character to life, narrating a story, performing a song, or creating something completely unexpected, I love finding the voice that makes a project connect with its audience. I’d love to bring my voice to your next project.
